Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do on the platform, including documents, AI, and research ethics.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) forms part of the Terms of Use. You may not use MetaPrism to:

1. Intellectual property and documents

  • Upload or share full-text PDFs or other files you do not have the rights to store and make available to project/team members under the Terms
  • Circumvent publisher access controls or paywalls in a way that violates applicable law or licence terms
  • Remove or falsify copyright or provenance information in a misleading way

2. AI abuse

  • Use Platform AI or any models via MetaPrism to generate malware, phishing, or other illegal content
  • Attempt to extract other users’ private data through prompts or jailbreaks
  • Overwhelm AI or API endpoints with automated abuse, or use the Service to violate an AI provider’s terms in a way that harms MetaPrism’s access

3. Platform abuse and scraping

  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Service or other users’ libraries beyond normal interactive use or documented APIs you are authorised to call
  • Probe, scan, or attack the Service; introduce malware; or interfere with other users
  • Create accounts or automate actions to evade suspension, rate limits, or billing

4. Illegal and harmful content

  • Host or distribute illegal content, or content that exploits minors
  • Harass, threaten, or dox others through the Service
  • Use the Service for spam or unsolicited bulk messages unrelated to legitimate research collaboration features

5. Research ethics and sensitive data

  • Upload identifiable patient data or other special-category personal data where you lack a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards
  • Misrepresent AI-generated text as human-authored peer review or as verified extraction without human review

Enforcement

We may remove content, throttle usage, suspend accounts, or involve authorities when we reasonably believe this Policy or the Terms have been violated. Report abuse to support@metaprism.io.
